Aran Cable Scarf

Two weeks ago, I started a class to learn how to make this scarf. I hadn't ever cabled before, but I wanted to learn how, so I decided to take the class last minute. This is the finished scarf. I finished it today at work. I made it out of Debbie Bliss Alpaca Silk Aran. Its soooo incredibly soft and feels heavenly wrapped around my neck. I'm planning on wearing it to work tomorrow to show off. Now I can move on guilt free to my next project, the Perfect Periwinkle Turtleneck Tube Vest in the book Fitted Knits. I'm doing it as a KAL with one of my co-workers who is learning how to knit. I'm actually going to go start swatching now. I'll put up pictures once I get it started.

I am so ready to go get the needles and knit for the rest of the day! Rain, a fireplace & a good old movie is the perfect compliment to knitting cool stuff.

That is a very beautiful design and the yarn looks luxurious too. I'm sure everyone will be impressed when you show up to the office wearing that!
